In the Define phase, we take what we've learned and turn it into a clear plan. We work out what the project needs to achieve, map out how people will use it, and make sure everyone agrees on the goals. Our main aim is to enhance the site visit for every visitor, making their experience more engaging, informative, and enjoyable. This step helps us set a strong direction, so our design and development work stays focused and delivers real value.

In the Develop phase, we bring our ideas to life. Working closely with developers, we turn designs into interactive, user-friendly features. We test and refine each part to make sure it works smoothly and meets the needs of both the client and their visitors. This stage is all about building a reliable, engaging experience that enhances every site visit.

Multi-language interface design with RTL support

Designing for multiple languages required careful consideration of right-to-left (RTL) layouts. The interface needed to adapt seamlessly for Arabic and Hebrew speakers, with navigation elements, text alignment, and visual hierarchy all thoughtfully restructured to maintain usability across different reading directions.

By implementing the Variable Data in Adobe Illustrator and collaborating with our in-house developer for a custom script, we significantly reduced the time required for translating design files. This streamlined automation not only enhanced efficiency but also ensured a quicker turnaround, allowing us to focus more on refining and perfecting the design elements.

In the Deliver phase, we validate our solutions through real user testing. We offer free tours of the first route to confirm successful tour experiences and gather valuable insights for final refinements. This approach allows us to identify non-urgent improvements that can be rolled out gradually, ensuring the final product exceeds expectations while maintaining a smooth deployment process.

Reflection

Throughout my tenure at Imagineear, my role as a digital product designer immersed me in the dynamic world of creating tour guides, transforming existing brands into captivating journeys. In this journey of design innovation, several key lessons have shaped my professional growth:

Multilingual Narratives:

The intricacies of working with diverse languages and fonts brought forth the challenge of creating a universal narrative. Dealing with missing characters and collaborating with translators for longer texts became integral. This taught me the art of adapting designs to cater to a global audience, ensuring inclusivity and a seamless experience for users of different linguistic backgrounds.

Collaborating with Internal Designers at Major Brands:

The opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals from renowned brands has provided invaluable insights. This collaborative journey has not only broadened my design perspective but has also allowed for the exchange of ideas, fostering a creative environment where innovation thrives. Grateful for the chance to contribute to the creation of immersive tour guides in such a collaborative and prestigious setting.

Venturing into Coding:

A significant aspect of my journey at Imagineear involved venturing into coding. Embracing this new skill expanded my toolkit, enabling a deeper understanding of the technical intricacies. This coding experience not only enhanced my problem-solving abilities but also empowered me to contribute more comprehensively to the dynamic and multifaceted design process.

Embracing an agile framework with a focus on feature refinements and iterative development cycles became a cornerstone of our design process. Constantly refining features based on user feedback and revisiting initial wireframes with the account management team ensured that our designs evolved dynamically, aligning seamlessly with user expectations.
